Data Deletion Instructions

1. How to Request Data Deletion

You can request deletion of all your data from Persai at any time. To submit a deletion request, send an email to:

support@persai.ai

Please include the following information in your request:

  • Your full name
  • The email address associated with your Persai account
  • The Threads, Instagram, TikTok, and/or LinkedIn username(s) connected to your account (if applicable)
  • A clear statement that you are requesting permanent deletion of all your data from Persai

Alternatively, you can disconnect each connected social account (Threads, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn) and delete your Persai account directly from the Settings page in the Persai dashboard. This will trigger automatic deletion of all associated data.

2. What Data Will Be Deleted

Upon processing your deletion request, the following data will be permanently removed from our systems:

  • Account information: Your email address, name, password hash, and organization membership
  • Social account connections: OAuth tokens (access tokens and refresh tokens) for Threads, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn; linked Facebook Page identifiers (where Instagram Business is connected via Facebook Login); TikTok open_id / union_id and creator info; LinkedIn member identifier (sub / person URN); account metadata; and sync status
  • AI persona configuration: All brand settings including name, tone, writing style, topics, language, bio, and blacklist rules
  • Posts and content: All posts created through Persai for any connected platform (Threads, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn) — including drafts, scheduled posts, published posts, and failed posts
  • Replies and comments: All AI-generated replies to mentions and comments on Threads and Instagram, along with associated conversation context
  • Source materials: All source content (text, URLs) and extracted data used for content generation
  • Conversation history: All stored interactions with external Threads and Instagram users, including user summaries and long-term memory
  • Media files: All images, videos, and other media uploaded to Cloudflare R2 storage associated with your account
  • Schedules and templates: All publishing schedules and prompt templates associated with your account
  • Analytics and logs: Any usage data, performance metrics, and logs associated with your account

Note:Content that has already been published to Threads, Instagram, TikTok, or LinkedIn will remain on the respective platform. Persai cannot delete content directly from those platforms on your behalf after deletion of your Persai account — you can manage published posts through each platform’s native app or website.

3. Processing Timeline

We process data deletion requests according to the following timeline:

  • Acknowledgment: Within 1 business day of receiving your request, we will send an email confirming receipt and verifying your identity
  • Processing: Data deletion will be completed within 3 business days of identity verification
  • Confirmation: You will receive a final confirmation email once all data has been permanently deleted

During the processing period, your account will be deactivated and all AI content generation, publishing, and reply activity will be immediately stopped.

4. Important Notes

  • Irreversible action: Data deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Once your data is deleted, it cannot be recovered. Please ensure you have saved any content you wish to keep before submitting a deletion request.
  • Published content persists: Deleting your data from Persai does not remove content already published to Threads, Instagram, TikTok, or LinkedIn. You must delete published posts directly from the respective platform.
  • Third-party processing: Data that has been sent to AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic) for content generation is subject to their respective data retention policies. We do not retain this data on their behalf, and we use API configurations that minimize data retention by these providers.
  • Legal retention: In rare cases, we may be required to retain certain data to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements. Any such retained data will be limited to what is strictly necessary and will be deleted once the legal requirement is fulfilled.
  • Platform-initiated deletion requests: This page also serves as the data-deletion callback URL referenced in our Meta app review and as the public data-deletion reference for our TikTok and LinkedIn developer apps. Deletion requests initiated through Meta, TikTok, or LinkedIn platform settings — or through an authorized webhook from those platforms — are processed using the same procedure and timeline described above.
